In September 2015, the 17 Sustainable Development Objectives (ODS) of the United Nations Agenda 2030 were approved in the development of which Local Authorities have a key involvement.

This day organized by the Provincial Council of Cordoba aims to be a meeting point for local entities in Córdoba for knowledge and involvement in the localization, compliance and monitoring in their territories of the Sustainable Development Objectives of the United Nations Agenda 2030 .

The objectives to achieve are:

Recognize ODS.
Identify the role of the agents involved and, in particular, of the local entities in their fulfillment.
First presentation of the location of actions of Diputación de Córdoba around the ODS for the province.
Proposals for joint work.

The call comes from the 2nd Vice-presidency of the Diputación de Córdoba, through the Department of Economic Development.

It is directed to political and technical representatives of the local entities of the province of Córdoba

In the day will take place two types of activities:

Context lectures, both institutional and technical, through representatives of the Spanish Network for Sustainable Development.
Round table on location of ODS in the organizational parts of Diputación de Córdoba.
Proposed follow-up of the ODS in the province of Cordoba, with the participation of the Sustainability Observatory of the province of Córdoba.
Summary of proposals.

09:30 hours: Official Opening of the Day . Antonio Ruiz Cruz (President of the Diputación de Córdoba and Miguel Ángel Moratinos Cuyaubé (President of the Spanish Network for Sustainable Development)

09:45 hours: The ODS: What we should know and how to get involved . Miguel Ángel Moratinos Cuyaubé (President of the Spanish Network for Sustainable Development)

10:30 am: Coffee

11:00 am: Municipal work with ODS: Experiences from local governments . Javier Benayas del Álamo (Member of the Advisory Board of the Spanish Network for Sustainable Development and Councilor for Urbanizations of the City Council of Soto del Real).

11:30 am: Action proposals for the location of the action with the ODS of the Diputación de Córdoba.

The transversal participation of the Diputación de Córdoba and its extrapolation to the municipalities of the province. For each or several of the ODS would intervene organizational parts of the Diputación.
